I am a drummer and educator from the Chicagoland area. I recently graduated from Northern Illinois University, where I earned a bachelor's degree in jazz studies while studying with Rodrigo Villanueva, Dr. Greg Beyer, and Ben Wahlund.

Taking inspiration from many styles of music, I listen and adapt my own playing to serve the music. Among these many styles, I find myself playing jazz, rock, hip-hop, and Latin styles frequently.

I can be heard playing and recording with my own trio TNGT, and am heavily involved in the virtual project, Midwest Music Deposit, highlighting many talented artists that call ‘the midwest’ their home. You can also find recordings of myself playing with Warped Wonder, a group that was put together with fellow Northern Illinois University students. Our debut album, ‘Growing Pains’ was released May of 2019.

As an educator, I teach drum lessons at Pearl Street Music and at Rocco Z Music in McHenry, IL, working with students of all ages to meet their musical goals. I also work with local school programs, leading workshops for rhythm sections and large ensembles.

I maintain an active performance and teaching schedule and am available for performance inquiries, lessons, and masterclasses. Please direct all inquiries to tonybroniec@outlook.com.

hey! what’s up? i’m TONY.
